Fresh 48 Photos During the COVID Pandemic

I'm not sure if it's the photographer in me, but I am all about having the big moments in my life captured, mainly because I know time goes fast, and because, as a mum, I want to be in the damn photos too! So, when I found out I was pregnant with my third (and final) baby, I knew I had to book in Fresh 48 photos, as this would be my last opportunity to get them. Fast forward a couple of months after booking my due date in with the photographer, and the world is in a pandemic, on lock down, and who knows what will be allowed at the hospital when this baby arrives. With only weeks left, and the threats of a second wave causing tighter restrictions again, I am grateful that my husband will be allowed there to visit and support me, am saddened that my kids won't be able to come to the hospital to meet their new sibling, and am disappointed that I won't get to have the typical hospital room fresh 48 session I had dreamed of. BUT - don't let that deter you from booking these kind of sessions if it's what you want! The hospital room may not be possible, and maybe even the first 48 hours won't be possible (depending on how long before you can go home); you can still get some incredible, intimate and raw photos with your new baby and your family in the comfort of your own home! As you can see in Camilla's session below, which was done pre-COVID, being at home brings a warmth and familiarity to your photos. And I promise you will treasure them just as much! [gallery link="file" columns="5" ids="1367,1368,1369,1370,1371,1372,1373,1374,1375,1376,1377,1378,1379,1380,1382"]
